There are some improvements in the new version. We have a native iOS version which will be released soon. If you are new to 3D CAD in a PC environment and need help with using the 3D CAD programs on the Mac, please feel free to contact us.
It was a release cycle shorter than usual. Substance 3D Stager 1.2.2 features a fix for the softwares issue where the audio sample was created for headphones instead of for speakers. The default config for this is a bit of an issue. In the Substance 3D Stager Preferences, change the setting for Audio Sound Output to Speakers. If you’re a linux user you can also change the setting to ALSA so that it uses the alsa daemon to route audio to the appropriate soundcard.
Introducing the new Substance 3D Stager presets.
Substance 3D Stager now includes preset artboards that can be used as a starting point for designing maps, levels, rooms, etc. in. The presets can be adjusted to the room, theme, artistic style you want to build in.

In your quest for more accurate curves and better control, the active user base also consists of 3D Lightroom users. This means that 3D Artists are rendering their assets in the 3D Editor, usually in the context of importing Photoshop or Lightroom files. During this workflow, he could explore and modify the material properties without getting stuck on the rendered versions. After the 3D Editor is called from Photoshop/Lightroom, the rendered version is exported directly as an opaque PSD file. This workflow is used to import the data directly into the Designers in-place materials system and also to extend the art of the rendered assets.
Perhaps the most exciting use case is 3D animation. Artists are able to select a 3D asset and import it into After Effects. Then, they can use the 3D Editor to build and modify the asset with the help of this powerful feature set. After Effects is also able to render these assets and export them as optimized files for VFX compositors and Visual Effects studios. For this reason, we are especially interested in users who use both After Effects and 3D Stager.
As Substance 3D Stager is the first product to incorporate the Substance Designer, the 3D Editor is a powerful tool that allows for more intuitive data management. Artists and designers can use the 3D Editor as a sort of classic-style asset management tool where they can insert and manipulate 3D assets. Additionally, designer-friendly filters and blending modes are added to 3D assets that make them more useful for designers.
Overall, weve got exciting things coming up, with new features like the 3D Materials panel as well as improvements to the functionalities of your Stager tool. We hope you will enjoy these new features.

Substance 3D Stager is a complete solution for working with Unreal Engine 4 plugins within Substance Painter. This is the first step in getting your scene set up to extract the Shader Graph nodes, texture, and materials.
When working with UE4 scenes, it is very important to have the proper material reflection, ambient and spot lighting to recreate how the game looks in Substance Painter. Substance 3D Stager is a package that contains a set of nodes that will let you setup any scene to look correct in Substance Painter. It also contains nodes for working in Substance Designer as well as optimizing it for printing and exporting.
Substance Painter (previously known as Substance U) is a powerful, substance powered rendering toolset for Unreal Engine and Unity. It’s Substance brought into the world with its own custom render pipeline that complements that of Unreal Engine and is connected to the rest of the Substance toolset. Substance Painter provides a workflow for artists and designers to easily create high quality material and world assets. Substance Painter uses a high fidelity, physically based render pipeline and interface that blends well with the mainstream Blender and other popular art and 3D tools.

A set of location constraints in the form of Relative and Absolute Coordinate Systems in three-dimensional space exist for the coordinates of geometric elements in the image. Coordinate systems are specified by an Origin, a Plane, and a Direction. Attributes known as Location Constraints (300A,0302), Digital Image Location (300A,0306), or Coordinate Systems (300A,0303) are used to maintain these coordinate systems in the image. These attributes are used within the DICOM Item and Tag Attributes. An attribute for a location constraint is contained in a Location Constraint Item (0042,0708) and provides the system with information about the constraint. Refer to the Location Constraint reference number in the DICOM Standard for the particular constraint.

What is Adobe Substance 3D Stager 1.2.2 good for?
The Create a New scene will create a scene from scratch. This is for when you want to start working on something new or want to experiment using a 3D app that you have never used before.
3D Stager will help accelerate your prototyping workflow. Create and model without the need for a renderer, light maps, or an expensive to render scene to put into a GPU. Just run 3D Stager and render out your scenes to your favorite renderer in no time at all. There is no need to install plugins or pay for rendering.
3D Stager is just for getting started with 3D. Once your model is complete, and if you wish to use additional performance enhancing render settings, you can use one of the other Adobe plugins. We offer Unreal, Blender, and Mudbox Renderers but are always looking for new renderers to support.
You can also use our included camera and jump to workflow for your project. Want to start out with a simple model or need to jump to a complicated one that you have made in Blender? The camera lets you do this.
Stager is a free program with a UI similar to that of Photoshop PSD documents. Its interface looks just like PSD documents and the output is similar as well. The output is not always perfectly true to the Exposure and Brightness settings, but it usually does a good job most of the time.
Stager is a very feature-rich and capable 3D & 2D editing tool. When I tried it at the monthly preview tier I was really impressed by its capabilities. For example, I was able to change the lighting of my model with a gradient, colorize a few textures to give a variety of colors. I also got a preview of the material change with the changes in colors. With more time and practice I was able to figure out how to change all of the settings to give a more realistic product.
Main benefits of Adobe Substance 3D Stager 1.2.2
Multi object materials allow the creation of one or more materials with different settings on one object. The advantage is that you can customize materials by different settings or values, then apply and combine the object materials in a single project.
The UI of our substance 3D products has been evolving for the last couple of years. In the last year we introduced a Material panel that has made it easy to create high quality materials. The workflow was already available in Designer, so now the same tools are available in Stager. The panel allows you to change materials based on the content of your project, or create new ones.
Once you open the project panel, you can see all your objects, and their materials. You can easily navigate through your scenes without wasting time looking for what you want. The objects are grouped in folders, and they have some default colors based on the type of object. You can turn on a color scheme for the objects and create a color profile to apply that color scheme to any color you want.
Stager lets you edit the UV tile of the objects and you can do it in a pixel level, so you can move, rotate, and scale individual pixels in the tile. This is also an option if you want to assign the mipmap of the tile to a UV map in Photoshop.
We introduced a new way to let you create material presets. Now you can create them and save them in your project panel to save your time when creating materials. You can select different layer settings, apply the effects, or create the materials and save them to a preset folder.
When we were creating Stager, we noticed that a very common workflow was to export the materials you have created in Substance Designer as textures for your projects in Photoshop. In Substance 3D, we could do this through Photoshop. In the next version of Stager, weve added a way to let you easily save the rendered textures. You can save the textures directly or apply the project material preset that includes the texture type. This functionality was already available in our products such as Photoshop, ZBrush, or Mudbox.
